We’re launching a competition centered on conductive ink. If you've not heard of it before, it’s a way to prototype or draw circuits by hand using nickel or silver-laced “ink”.
We’re looking for artistic use of conductive ink and components to make an eye-catching piece of art. It doesn't have to be technically complicated, we’re just looking for artistic flair. We reckon it could be fun as a side project and we’d love for someone from the Tag to get involved, so please let me know if there's a candidate and I can send him/her a pack of products to participate.
The products are to be:
1x http://uk.farnell.com/circuitworks/cw2200mtp/conductive-pen-micro/dp/604021
1x http://uk.farnell.com/vector-electronics/12x12we/pcb-bare-no-holes-plain/dp/2295746
1x http://uk.farnell.com/arduino/a000066/atmega328-arduino-uno-eval-board/dp/20753825x http://uk.farnell.com/kingbright/l-154a4sureqbfzgew/led-multicol-rgb-5mm-x-bright/dp/2290375
1x http://uk.farnell.com/multicomp/440005p/battery-connector-pp3-type-1-150mm/dp/1183123
There's no hard requirement for using all components, except the conductive ink pen that needs to be in the play. Participants may add some components should they wish so but please bear it in mind that we are not only looking for technical edge only but also some artistic creativity.
Rules
- Participation is by invitation only
- Projects must be hosted on your own website (or community website)
- Participants may use the pen +any of the parts in the pack (as many or as few as you like)
- Other outside components ARE permitted
- Judging is based on creativity, originality and technical, and is final
- Please include the conductive challenge graphic alongside your post
- 1st prize £100 Farnell spend, 2nd prize £50
- Deadline for entries: 31st August
Thank you for your consideration.
Best regards
